Check power tools, leads, plugs, guards and accessories before use. Use equipment suitable for the site supply and conditions, with required protection and inspections. Remove defective tools from service and report them; never bypass guards or safety devices. Wear task-specific PPE, including suitable eye, hearing and hand protection where required. Control dust and trailing leads, keep others clear of the work area, and follow the site risk assessment and method statement.
